Why no international shipping?

UPDATE August 2024: We now ship to customers in the USA. Other international customers can use Parcel Forwarding Services.
UPDATE August 2022: I have decided not to resume international shipping. This is due to the continuing effects of both Brexit and the Covid pandemic on the speed, reliability and security of international shipments. Plus I wish to focus my efforts on UK Customers. International customers can still use Parcel Forwarding Services. I will update here If this changes.
UPDATE AUGUST 2021: We are still not shipping internationally - no exceptions, sorry. If you desperately want something from our shop and live outside the UK, some customers have used a Parcel Forwarding Service such as Vpost, forward2me etc.
UPDATE JUNE 2021. International shipping costs have remained high and postal services are still badly impacted by the Pandemic. Consequently I have no plans to start offering international shipping this year. I will review this in 2022. Stay safe!
----------------------------------------------------------
We have suspended international shipping due to the impact of the pandemic. This means we currently ONLY ship to the United Kingdom. There are several reasons for this decision:
- Due to social distancing measures, many carriers are no longer taking signatures on delivery, making it less secure.
- International shipping costs have increased immensely. For example, I have seen the cost of shipping a tracked 1000 gram package to the USA increase from about £12.00 to over £21.00.
- Many National postal services are are suffering long delays and service interruptions. This is a fluid situation and it is not possible to predict which countries will be affected nor how long for.
- All international shipments now require full customs declarations forms with correct tariff codes for each item, which can be an administrative nightmare.
- Brexit has made shipments to European Union countries more complex and time consuming.
My apologies to my international customers. I do plan to resume international shipping when the situation resolves.
