I have been asked if table tennis manufacturers such as Yinhe and Palio offer different sponge thickness options for their table tennis rubbers. My understanding is that Yinhe and Palio do not offer retailers any options for sponge thickness for their standard off-the-shelf mass produced table tennis rubbers. They are produced with a standard sponge thickness (typically 2.0mm). But I understand they can make large custom batches to order using alternative thickness sponges. This is not something I have ever done personally: the minimum order requirement (MOQ) would be 100's of units, the unit cost would be higher for a limited custom run, and the demand has never been sufficient to justify the investment.
